Cheers to Group Exercise!
I’ve been on this fitness program for 3 days now and I can already see the difference between working out at a gym studio for a group exercise class and popping an aerobic dvd at my very own home and unsuccessfully trying to keep up with the hour long video. I’ve taken Body Combat, Body Jam and, just a while ago, I had my first experience with Body Step (FYI I’m a member at Fitness First so if you’re interested in taking these classes then by all means sign up! as if I’m fit to be their spokesperson really HAHA). I can’t emphasize enough the importance of being surrounded by people, who not only have the same goals as you (more or less) but also being lead by a riveting instructor, who you might wonder how the hell he/she comes up with all the energy they radiate. Seriously, it’s like they’re high on sugar or caffeine… Hahaha.
According to a social psychologist, Norman Triplett (1898), the presence of being surrounded by people, who are free to judge our actions or compete with us even, intensifies our need to perform well at whatever task is on hand or, in this case, up the workout. Moreover, studies have shown that people “conform to unwritten group rules.” (Asch, 1951) The aforesaid, applying it to gym group exercises, means that because, more often than not, people who are taking the class with you are motivated to be fit and to shed off their respective unwanted pounds YOU as well are bounded by this type of behavior. In a nut shell, if you’re participating in a group exercise session, then you better work your ass of just like the others! Hahahaha.
We all live in a world mitigated by social relations; thus, one can never take for granted the true power that lies in the presence of others.

Pre-Fitness
I wasn’t able to start my fitness program because I woke up late and didn’t get to go to the grocery to buy my necessary supplies. FAAAAIIIILLL! But tomorrow marks a new day and I shall OFFICIALLY start then. Hahaha. I am quite hesitant about my FB hiatus, seeing that I can barely keep away from pressing my Facebook tab on my bookmarks bar. Hahahaha.

I recently became a member of an online book lovers club (yes I am a bookworm LOL) and my head seriously hurts from trying to recall all of the books I’ve read. So far I’ve listed 76 books on my profile (it’s quite funny how eccentric my book list is haha) and I KNOW that I have read more than that. Hahahaha. Hopefully, I’ll be able to remember the other books I’ve devoured (such an apt verb, yes? HAHA) in the past SOON (dear hippocampus, do not fail me now)!

Ms. Kaye went to my house to do my makeup for the night and she was BEYOND AMAZING! I loooove her to death!!! Haha. She did the makeup for the MEG shoot I participated in and I’ve been a regular customer ever since then.

This photo was taken of me last year, when my Aunt and I were scurrying the streets of Geneva looking for a place to eat dinner and ended up stumbling on this gorgeous lawn filled with an array of bright and vibrant flowers. I am seriously dying to go back to Europe!!! Hahaha. Who wants to go with me??? I miss sipping on a fresh glass of red rosed wine with that ever so charming scent of aged grapes, berries and plums and a platter of cheese from gouda to brie to raclette right in front of me, greeting me like an old childhood friend. I can also never forget the adrenalin rush I constantly got every time I’d lose myself in the surroundings… Just taking in everything and appreciating every minuscule detail of the new world around me… Before I continue boring you guys with my trips down memory lane, I shall bid thee good night. Today made me reminisce of the good ole times, when I was still a stressed out undergraduate and, instead of worrying about getting my dream job and paying my way through life (if only allowance wasn’t a thing of the past hahaha), my mind would fixate itself with quizzes and the like. Ever since highschool, my friends and I have been avid fans of Red Box. Karaoke + good company + good food = AWESOMENESS!!! Hahaha.
This was photo was taken a little over a year ago and I can’t help but feel blessed by the fact that I’m still as close as ever with these girls. I remember clearly the day when this photo was taken because I had been dealing with a lot of personal drama at that time and my friends decided to cheer me up by staying up with me (we didn’t even sleep a wink) and we basically just talked and ate until our mouths were satisfied. LOL. GV all the way!!! Hahahaha.
